“Endless Possibilities” and Jesus

Jesus Christ was not just a figure from history and the Bible a series of stories (“fairy-tales”), I truly believe. Jesus was a member of a despised minority, a citizen of an occupied country. Jesus had no organisation. He mixed with rough, uncultured, unlettered men. He lived and died in poverty. He never became an intimate friend of men of influence and power.

To Jesus every problem was an opportunity in disguise. Sickness – was an opportunity for healing Sin – was an opportunity for repentance and forgiveness (“from sinners we can become saints”) Sorrow – was an opportunity for compassion.

There IS a solution to every problem.

There is light behind every shadow.

We hope that the following extract including some thoughts from a new “work”, which he’s currently writing titled ‘Endless Possibilities’) may be informative and helpful to your e-zine readers, or on your web site. This piece (as with all my writings) may be freely reproduced electronically or in print. If it helps others “out there” on the ‘amazing journey of life’, then we’re very happy.

Submitter’s Note:

This extract forms part of a manuscript on which Craig is currently “working” (or rather it’s “writing itself”) called ‘ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES’: true and inspirational stories. Let the Journey Begin…

* Hardship brings you close to God, if you let Him meet you where you are. God, the Essence of Life was holding on to me. We all have a resilience of spirit. Significance is what we do for others – add value to people’s lives. God will not give to us what will not flow through us – a generosity of spirit. And God will never tell us to do something that is impossible to do. This faith gives meaning to our lives, whilst the world says money, success, wealth and status is all-important.

Jesus saw the possibility of ultimate justice: leaving justice to God.

He also saw the possibility of a transformed world, here on planet earth.

He had a vision of what the world could become – a more peaceful place filled with love (the Kingdom of God).

He truly believed in the possibility of transformed lives.

He truly believed that common people can become uncommonly powerful.

He knew without a shadow of doubt that ordinary persons could become extraordinary people… if they could just become possibility thinkers.

Every person was a gold mine of undiscovered hidden possibilities. He really believed in supreme possibilities. So Jesus proclaimed the greatest possibility of all: The immeasurable, mercy, grace and love of God.

“I am the light that is above everything. I am all; all come forth from me and all has returned to me.”

What confidence!

‘YOU have the power to create the world you want.

Dream great dreams. BELIEVE and work… and make them come true.

Discover the great possibilities God has planned for YOU too. “YOU are the light of the world – Matthew 5:14

“Lord, show me the person You want to speak to through my life today. Amen”

From The New Possibility Thinkers Bible by Robert H Schuller and Paul David Dunn (by Thomas Nelson Inc, 1996) *

Jesus was not just a figure from history and the Bible a series of stories (“fairy-tales”), I truly believe. It’s a way of presenting the Word of God. Jesus entered into a new form of existence with His “wealth of spirit”. Christ is a beacon, “the anchor of our faith”. Christianity is not a series of “do’s and don’t’s”, but a living faith that transforms lives.

Jesus lived in a war zone, as do modern children in the Middle East. He gave a voice to the voiceless. The silent Jesus symbolises all who cannot speak clearly for themselves. (Are we listening to their enforced silence?). Jesus responded with compassion to human cries. Jesus showed unconditional love and all people, whether religious or not, can embrace love. Peace and goodwill is for ALL to celebrate, but God needs humans in partnership to help peace become a reality for others.

Listen to the silence of the voiceless, the message of Jesus and ACT according to that divine spirit that lies in every one of us.

Following the teachings of Jesus shows us ways of living and principles that we can ALL learn. Something WILL happen in your life. God WILL change things. These are simple principles, that can dramatically change our lives for the better.

Choose hope despite your circumstances. God has the amazing ability to bring make something beautiful out of brokeness in our life. Amazing! God can take an ordinary person, any situation and turn it into something amazing. Jesus, the Hope-Giver will use your life for good.

It was a defining moment in my life; it sculplted who I am today. God uses our deepest valleys. He can take any situation in life and use it for His glory. Changes people, regardless of their circumstances. Jesus gives us HOPE. It’s a CHOICE – He WILL be faithful. “Choose hope, rather than fear; choose unity over division.”

The unlimited power of Christ to change lives. You too can be filled with His limitless generosity of spirit. A “spark in the soul” can lead to snow-capped peaks of accomplishment.

God never gives up on His children

Jesus truly believed that common people can become incredibly powerful beings. He knew without a shadow of doubt that ordinary people could become extraordinary people, if they could become possibility thinkers.

(From ‘Hour of Power’)

The Christ event is unique; it is also the pivotal, the single most important event of human history.” In Jesus’ own life was the key of his nearness to God, that he expressed as no other could, the spirit and will of God…

“YOU are the light of the world – Matthew 5:14

The life and death of Jesus gives each one of us HOPE: to choose hope despite our circumstances. We are choosing hope over fear, unity over division.

(Some thoughts from Rev Glenn Barclay as published in the Dominion Post, Wellington, New Zealand)

Together, one mind, one soul, one life at a time, let’s see how many people we can impact, encourage, empower, uplift and perhaps even inspire to reach their fullest potentials.”

Author: craig lock

ABOUT c the Author Craig has a 'passion' for writing books that tell stories about people doing positive things in this often so hard, sometimes unkind world, occasionally cruel, yet always amazing world - true stories that leave the reader feeling uplifted, empowered and hopefully even inspired. https://www.createspace.com/3779691/ and http://www.amazon.com/-/e/B005GGMAW4 from http://www.selfgrowth.com/experts/craig_lock.html and http://www.selfgrowth.com/experts/craig-lock Craig Lock loves to encourage and empower people to be the best they can possibly be, and to create what they want in life. Craig has learnt plenty from the "school of life" (still "battered and bruised") and also from a few "hard knocks on the head". He is an extensive world traveller (on a "shoestring budget") and failed professional emigrater who has spent most of his lifes savings on airfares. He is still sliding down the razor blade of life on the beautiful undiscovered island that is New Zealand, somewhere near the bottom (rude!) of the world near Antarctica. There he talks to the 60 million sheep! Craig has been involved in the corporate world (life assurance) for over twenty years in South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. However, through a strange set of circumstances and finding himself in a small town near the bottom of the world ...and with nothing else to do, he started writing. That was five years ago. Five published books later and having written another twenty manuscripts (on widely differing subjects - well what else is there to do here?)... this is where Craig is in the "journey/adventure" that is life. Craig has taught at the local Polytechnic, as well as running a successful creative writing course (not teaching sheep!). He was the author of (as far as we know) the first creative writing course on the internet Craig has many varied interests and passions. He is particularly interested in the field of psychology – studying the human mind and what makes different people "tick-tock grandfather clock". He is fascinated by the "overlap between psychology and the dimension of spirituality". One of his missions in life is helping people make the most of their hidden potential and so finding their niche in life... so that they are happy. Craig’s various books probably tell more about his rather "eventful" life best (no one could believe it!). He writes books with serious messages and themes, then as a contrast "rather crazy, wacky stuff"…to keep him sane here. As an ‘anonymouse’ person wrote: "All of us are born mad; some of us remain so." Well nothing else much happens in quiet provincial New Zealand, other than headlines like "Golf Ball Thrown at Policeman" (it missed, btw!) and "Beach Toilet Closed for Season." True!
