“You shall give to him freely, and your heart shall not be grudging when you give to him, because for this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in all that you undertake” (Deuteronomy 15:10).
The story is told that the widow of Zarephath gave Elijah a meal from the flour and oil that she had left. In return, God multiplied the flour and oil and they lasted a long time (1 Kings 17:7-16). The apostle Paul informed the Philippians that he received the gifts from Epaphroditus which they had sent. He further said that they were sacrifices pleasing to the Lord and he would meet their spiritual and temporal needs, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4: 18-19).
I do really appreciate your liking, linking to and/or following this blog (and “writing in”), so “thanks for the thanx” and your many thoughtful comments. However, I do have a problem in that I’m being inundated with spam from Youtube (US car dealerships and http://getforeverrecovery.com/) (thousands and thousands of messages), so am having to delete, so if you have sent a comment, it probably got missed amongst the deleted junk mail.
THis also unfortunately means that you’ll have to be logged in to WordPress to comment on articles. Sorry about that, but that’s the only way I can manage. A few have spoilt it for the many.
Thanks for the understanding

Enjoy these thoughts…
“As we live and move and have our being, so from this vision, we create heaven in our own lives… and perhaps even heaven on earth.” – craig (as inspired by Acts 17:28 and the words of Felicia Searcy)
“Aim at the earth and you may not get off the ground. “Aim at the stars and you may reach the moon.” “Aim at heaven and you’ll have earth thrown in… and you may even hit the stars.” – craig (as inspired by the famous quote by CS Lewis – 24th May 2012)
“When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return.” – Leonardo da Vinci
“If a man is called to be a street-sweeper, he should sweep streets even as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.” – Dr Martin Luther King, Jr.
PPS Instead of trying to reply to each one of you, I’ll just keep on writing
“The Lord works from the inside out. The world works from the outside in. The world would take people out of the slums. Christ would take the slums out of people, and then they would take themselves out of the slums.
The world would mould men by changing their environment. Christ changes men, who then change their environment. The world would shape human behaviour, but Christ can change human nature.”
― Ezra Taft Benson
Skip Ross’s Magic Formula for Dynamic Living unfolds the secrets of a life filled with joy and happiness.
Here are 10 universal principles that can be the key to unlocking your full potential. The PRINCIPLES of:
1. GIVING: Give and you receive… and EVERYONE has something to give.
2. EXCLUSION: Get rid of what you don’t want to make room for what you do want to flow into your life.
3. CREATION: Decide what you want, define it clearly, then write it down.
4. VISUALISATION: Get a clear mental picture of your most earnest desires, fill it with emotion and hold onto it.
5. COMMAND: Whatever you speak, that’s what is going to happen. So watch out what you say!
6. ACTION: DO it NOW!
7. FAITH: The substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Faith tears down walls and builds bridges of hope. But how does this apply in a practical sense?
8. ENTHUSIASM: Give everything you’ve got to everything you do.
9. SELF DISCIPLINE: Do what needs to be done, when it should be done, whether you like it or not.
10. PERSISTENCE. Say. “I will…until”.

“SAY ‘YES’ TO YOUR POTENTIAL” (Part One)
Introduction:
Craig has been studying the amazing powers of the human mind, as well as the “secrets of success” for the past two decades. This article (in point form for brevity) is largely based on my notes from a most inspiring and uplifting book by an American by the name, “Skip” Ross from many years ago (however the principles, I believe, are eternal truths). I am sharing this summary, the contents of the Amway man’s work in the spirit of encouraging and hopefully even inspiring those people, who really want to reach their full potentials, achieving their dreams in life, whatever they may be “to just GO FOR IT”.
Thank you sincerely, “Skip” and Carole for sharing (with humour) your most uplifting words of wisdom in encouraging me to follow my passion and to reach for my personal dreams. I (in turn) am passing them on through the amazing power of the www, as my dream is helping others to realise their personal dreams in life.
Now on the article (at long last!)…
* SAY ‘YES’ TO YOUR POTENTIAL (PART ONE) by ‘SKIP’ ROSS (with Carole C.Carlson)
“You are today what you want to be.” We use only 10 of our potential – the other 90 “might have been”. We have been endowed by God with incredible abilities, that if tapped would produce a dynamic style of life.
* You are a genius.
* GIVE and you receive far more.
* Turn your dreams into reality: What is your burning desire?
* SPEAK your most earnest desires into existence: Verbalise your future, as this releases energy.
* BELIEVE it before you see it.
* Do it UNTIL.
* *
THE STEPS:
1. Understand the source of your self image.
2. Believe your self image can be changed.
3. Decide what kind of person you WANT to be.
4. Write it (this picture/image) down.
5. Spend time with the person you want to be…this is the challenge.
6. Whatever a person focuses their thoughts on becomes reality in their life. “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” – Proverbs
“God gives us each day to use as we will. When tomorrow comes this day will be gone forever, leaving something in its place we have traded for it. The day can be used for gain, not loss, for good, not evil, for success, not failure. We can waste time worrying about what might happen, or fretting about what did happen. If we want time, we have to make it.”
“The measure of our accomplishments in life is not a measure of time that we have to do things; but it’s a measure of what we do with the time we have, with the talents we have.”
Louis Pascal once said: “Our achievements of today are but the sum total of our thoughts of yesterday. You are today where the thoughts of yesterday have brought you and you will be tomorrow, where the thoughts of today take you.”
You can be a different kind of person, you can be any kind of person you choose to be. You are responsible for your own attitudes and the kind of life you are living. There are two kinds of people: positive and negative. Always be open – reasons why things change – we tend to seek the comfort of the familiar; therefore change is painful and we tend to resist it.
” I’m planting a seed like a farmer. I challenge you to do more than you have ever done before in your life, to be more than you have ever dreamed you could be. To do more than you thought you could do, I’m challenging you to become ALL you were created to be. I know it’s possible. I became more than what I was ” – “Skip” Ross. * Your dreams can become reality and you can become all you were created to be.
BE happy and have great fun along the journey

“True success is just being the person you really want to be.”
“The task ahead of you can always be overcome by the power within you…and the often seemingly difficult or even “impassible”) path ahead of you is never as steep with the great spirit that lies within you.”
About the submitter: Craig has been studying the human mind, ‘the last unexplored frontier’ for much of his life. His mission is in his own small way, to try to help people live happier, more fulfilling and successful lives.

“The important thing is not to win, but to take part. The important thing in life is not the triumph, but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered, but to have fought well.”
“Together, one mind, one soul at a time, let’s see how many people we can impact, empower, encourage and perhaps even inspire to reach their fullest potentials
