Jesus Christ: The Greatest Possibility Thinker Who Ever Lived (from “Endless Possibilities, Far and Great Horizons)

Jesus Christ: The Greatest Possibility Thinker Who Ever Lived (from “Endless Possibilities, Far and Great Horizons”)

Jesus truly believed that common people can become incredibly powerful beings. He knew without a shadow of doubt that ordinary people could become extraordinary people, if they could merely become possibility thinkers.

The claims of Jesus:

“I am the good shepherd.” (John 10:11)

“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved. (John 10:9)

“I am the bread of life.” (John 6:35)

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me and I in him, bears much fruit.” (John 15:5)

“I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the father, except through Me.” (John 14:6)

“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.” (John 11:25)

Being a follower of Christ is offering yourself to Him and following His teachings: Your mind for Christ to think through. Your heart – for Christ to love through.

Your lips for Christ to speak through. Your hands – for Christ to touch through.

WHEN the spirit of Christ lives within you…

* Your problems will turn into great opportunities. Incredible, amazing opportunities for growth!

You will: * Have the strength to tackle your opportunities with divine strength and succeed.

* Your problems will turn into great opportunities. Incredible, amazing opportunities for growth!

You will: * Have the strength to tackle your opportunities with divine strength and succeed.

* Pick up the broken hopes of your unfulfilled aspirations in life, your shattered dreams and have the courage and resilience to start over gain.

* Dream great dreams and one day see them come to pass. God can dream a greater dream for your life than you could ever have imagined.

* Become a truly great person – like Jesus himself. Become the very BEST YOU that you are capable of being. With God, Jesus beside you and the Holy Spirit inside you nothing is impossible… and let your spirit soar like an eagle.

“Lord, show me the person You want to speak to through my life today.”

Amen

From The New Possibility Thinkers Bible by Robert H Schuller and Paul David Dunn (by Thomas Nelson Inc, 1996) *

Jesus was not just a figure from history and the Bible a series of stories (“fairy-tales”), I truly believe. It’s a way of presenting the Word of God. Jesus entered into a new form of existence with His “wealth of spirit”. Christ is a beacon, “the anchor of our faith”. Christianity is not a series of “do’s and don’t’s”, but a living faith that transforms lives, as people meet a risen saviour.”

Jesus lived in a war zone, as do modern children in the Middle East. He gave a voice to the voiceless. The silent Jesus symbolises all who cannot speak clearly for themselves. (Are we listening to their enforced silence?). Jesus responded with compassion to human cries. Jesus showed unconditional love and all people, whether religious or not, can embrace love. Peace and goodwill is for ALL to celebrate, but God needs human beings in partnership to help peace become a reality for others.

Listen to the silence of the voiceless, the message of Jesus and ACT according to that divine spirit that lies in every one of us.

Following the teachings of Jesus shows us ways of living and principles that we can ALL learn. Something WILL happen in your life. God WILL change things. These are simple principles, that can dramatically change our lives for the better.

Choose hope despite your circumstances. God has the amazing ability to bring make something beautiful out of brokenness in our life. Amazing! God can take an ordinary person, any situation and turn it into something amazing. Jesus, the Hope-Giver will use your life for good.

It was a defining moment in my life; it sculpted who I am today. God uses our deepest valleys. He can take any situation in life and use it for His glory. Changes people, regardless of their circumstances. Jesus gives us HOPE. It’s a CHOICE – He WILL be faithful.

The unlimited power of Christ to change lives. You too can be filled with His limitless generosity of spirit. A “spark in the soul” can lead to snow-capped peaks of accomplishment.

God never gives up on His children

(From ‘Hour of Power’) *

Jesus lived in a war zone, as do modern children in the Middle East. He gave a voice to the voiceless. The silent Jesus symbolises all who cannot speak clearly for themselves. (Are we listening to their enforced silence?). Jesus related to all societies and people – the common fabric of humanity.

He was “a voice for the voiceless”. Listen to the silence of the voiceless, the message of Jesus and ACT according to that divine spirit that lies in every one of us.

Jesus responded with compassion to human cries. Jesus showed unconditional love and all people, whether religious or not, can embrace love. Peace and goodwill is for ALL to celebrate, but God needs humans in partnership to help peace become a reality for others.

He had a passion for peace, mutual tolerance, interaction between different faiths and respect for all. Jesus taught that violence achieves nothing, whether it comes from terrorists or from the response to terrorists. Christ told us to love our enemies, not to shoot them, send them to concentration camps, or blow them up! And loving ones enemies was and still is a revolutionary statement 2000 years later!

In Jesus’ own life was the key of his nearness to God, that he expressed as no other could, the spirit and will of God. The person that IS Jesus Christ makes God REAL within me.

The life and death of Jesus gives each one of us HOPE: to choose hope despite our circumstances. We are choosing hope over fear, unity over division.

*

“Lord, Make me a channel for your peace to flow through, to share your message of hope and love with as many souls, lives as possible…a window for your light to shine through to everyone I meet.

God, Use my ‘little’ life as a focus for Your Infinite Possibilities.

THINK AND GROW RICH (FROM INSPIRATIONAL BOOKS – PART TWO)

Introduction:
This article (in point form) is extracted from (and a summary of) a most inspirational book by Napoleon Hill titled ‘Think and Grow Rich’ (publisher Melville Powers, US) from notes that I’ve taken over the years. I am sharing the contents of this ground-breaking work in this field, together with additional comments based on my own experiences) in the spirit of encouraging and hopefully even inspiring those people, who really want to “achieve unlimited success” to read this ‘classic’ , fascinating book, apply the principles…then see what happens!.

Craig has been studying the principles of success (and successful living) and researching the amazing powers of the human mind for much of his life and is sharing his insights with the aim of helping others reach their full potentials in life. That is my reason for sharing this piece – to encourage others to follow their personal dreams. That is my dream!

Thank you sincerely, Mr Hill for sharing your words of wisdom …and in so doing, in encouraging me to follow my “untrodden path” with passion and reach for my personal dreams. I WILL UNTIL.

“The mind is not a vase to be filled… but a fire to be ignited.”

STEP 5: IMAGINATION.

“Imagination is more important than knowledge.”

– Einstein

This is your own “workshop”, where you fashion ideas. All the “breaks” (opportunities) you ever need in life are waiting within your imagination. Use the amazing untappedcreativity within you to solve any problem and stimulate your imagination. Ideas are the sources of all fortunes ever made; they are the products of our imagination. Clerk Asa Chandler spent his life’s savings of $500 on an idea for an ingredient. He supplied (and applied) the imagination, which turned the “magic” formula into a fortune…which is now the world wide mega-corporation that is Coca-Cola.

Chandler had a burning desire to make his investment work. Big achievers have an obsession – they believe so fervently in their idea, product or service. Ask yourself this important question: What would I do, if I had a million dollars? A definite purpose results in a definite plan. The finest tool still needs a man who knows how to use it.

There are many other simple ideas. It doesn’t even have to be original – you can come up with a new combination of them.

STEP 6: ORGANIZED PLANNING
Defeat makes you stronger.
Sell services and ideas.
Leaders and followers: Most great leaders began as followers.

11 secrets of leadership:

1. unwavering courage

2. enlisting the co-operation of others – you can’t do it alone. etc (for the rest see my article on principles of leadership).

Leaders by force: like Napoleon Bonaparte, Mussolini and Hitler. However, this style of leadership is only temporary; thus it is far better to lead by consent.
Why many leaders fail? An inability to organize details. (My weakness, but something to work on – DELEGATE more!).

5 ways to get a good job:

Find a job you like to do – one you perhaps even love!

31 ways to fail?

Market yourself.
There is
abundance everywhere, opportunity everywhere in the Universe. You just have to look for it; then you’ll find plentiful abundance. The ‘capital’ lies
within yourself.(in the human imagination). Success requires no explanations; whilst failure permits no alibis.

7. DECISION:

Make quick and definite decisions. Instant decisions make history. (I change mine quickly and often, no wonder I “bumble along”). Henry Ford persisted in manufacturing the Model T, the world’s ugliest car, when all his advisers were urging him to change it. For years well-meaning people told me to give up writing and get a “proper” job (perhaps they were right)!

Opinions are cheap. Genuine wisdom is usually displayed through modesty and silence.

A great desire for freedom brings freedom (as evidenced in the life of Nelson Mandela); a great desire for wealth brings wealth. Every powerful man has within
him his own power.

STEP 8: PERSISTENCE.
The magic of “money consciousness”. Defeat is a temporary condition – one is only defeated until a person accepts defeat in their own mind.

Anyone can learn persistence. It’s a state of mind which can be cultivated. You too can learn to be a dog, who won’t let go of their bone. Persistence is caused
by (as well as being made up of) these traits:
* definiteness of purpose
* desire (strong)
* self reliance (and self responsibility)
* definiteness of plans
* accurate knowledge – knowing that your plan or idea is sound
* courage (great)
* will power
* enlisting the co-operation with others. The art of getting other people to
help you in moving towards your goals, desires and
dreams. In exchange you can
offer them something.
* habit, ie. developing good
habits.

Anyone can criticize. (Far easier than creating – who wants to be a critic?*). You make your own “breaks” (opportunities) in life. Thomas A Edison had less than 3 months formal schooling. As the saying goes: “When the going gets tough, the tough get going.” (thanks dad)

9. THE INCREDIBLE POWER OF THE HUMAN MIND.

Power is essential for success in the accumulation of money (don’t know if I agree with that statement of Mr Hill???).

I think imagination is more important!

Use more brains than your own. This is the process of synergy at work, ie 1 + 1 = 3. Henry Ford shot ahead, when he become friendly with Thomas A Edison, Harvey
Firestone, John Burroughs and Luther Burbank. Ford shared his thoughts with them and asked for their advice and input. His good friends weren’t just “sounding boards to run past” his ideas. (I rely totally on “technogeeks”, as I’m a “total non-techno”).

There is a great wealth of knowledge in books like this. Read, think and meditate as you read. (Take notes of good points, as even small actions imprint principles in the subconscious mind). PLAN and organize to get rich. Poverty needs no plan; so staying poor is easy. The energy of the human mind shows itself to the world in your ENTHUSIASM. It’s infectious and is a vital characteristic of nearly all successful people. So they are excited and fervently believe in their “pathway of destiny”.
They love what they do (do what you love and the money will surely follow).

Happiness is found not merely in possessing; but in doing and especially in the life journey of BEING… and BECOMING.

INTRODUCTION:

Submitter’s Note:
Craig has been studying and researching the human mind, the “last unexplored frontier” for the past fifteen years and he is currently “working” on the connection (overlap) between mind and spirit, the relationship between psychology (science of the mind) and the spiritual world, God. A fascinating subject!

This article (in point form) is based on an excellent motivational, up-lifting and inspiring book‘THE MAGIC OF BELIEVING’ by Claude Bristol (written in the “thirties”). I am sharing the contents of this work in the spirit of encouraging and hopefully even inspiring those people, who really want to achieve their fullest potentials to read this classic book. Then just BELIEVE (tempered with some plan of action, of course!)…and then surprise themselves what happens, as you travel down your unique path in life.

Thank you sincerely, Mr Bristol for sharing your practical insight, words of wisdom and especially inspiration, which I’m passing on in the form of this series of articles from my notes taken from your book.

Do you really BELIEVE you can be successful on the internet?

Powerful forces locked in your mind can turn desire into reality. Learn to release them in this extraordinary book.
Just BELIEVE!

“If thou can’st believe, all things are possible to him that believeth”
– Mark 9:23

Most religions of the world (but especially Christianity) are based upon principles of psychology… and especially the powerful principle of FAITH (“God turns the impossible into the possible”). There is a golden thread running through all the teachings and makes them work for all who genuinely accept and apply them; it helps them reach all their goals in life. True ??? That thread, in a word, is BELIEF. There’s genuine magic in believing. Study books of greatness and inspiration; because as we learn, we grow (in knowledge, as well as spiritually). Most of history’s greatest achievements have been accomplished not by the most talented, but by the people who were willing to take on great risks and challenges and see them through. And that happens only by believing…and then sustaining that belief over a period of time. And ALL of us can develop belief, yet few people know HOW.

THE MAGIC OF BELIEVING – THE POWER OF THOUGHT ENERGY (PART ONE)

powers that would astonish him,
that he never dreamed of possessing;
forces that would revolutionize his life if aroused
and put into action.”
– Orison Swett Marden

INTRODUCTION:

Submitter’s Note:
Craig has been studying and researching the human mind, the “last unexplored frontier” for the past fifteen years and he is currently “working” on the connection (overlap) between mind and spirit, the relationship between
psychology (science of the mind) and the spiritual world, God.

It’s a journey of exploration and personal growth.

See the law of suggestion (auto-suggestion) at work.

This concept is understood by few and used by even less people. I am convinced any sincere person can reach any heights he or she desires. There is a wealth of spirit in YOU. THE POWER OF THOUGHT (or the ‘science of thought’): The principles mentioned in this work substantiate great truths handed down the ages (or what is simply known as ‘TheLaw of Attraction‘).

The greatest problems bothering most people are financial ones. So the amazing invention of the internet provides an avenue to help yourself and others at the same time. I really believe that!

Old Latin proverb: “Believe you have it and you have it.” Belief is the motivating factor that enables you to reach your goal.
Believe it… then you’ll SEE it!

Make success your dominant thought. Whatever is your dominant thought will end up happening (through controlled FOCUS, like a laser-beam). So you need to put it “out there” and everything will follow. Lift yourself up to possibilities (endless). Keep on believing, even though there are always challenges and knock-backs. Always really believe that your vision is going to come to fruition…one bright sunny day!

Can man project his thoughts, even at great distances into other minds (mental telepathy)?

The most important advance in the next generation will be in the vast unknown of the human mind – dealing with the spiritual, ie. thought. Psychology is the science of the mind.

Persistence brings confidence and a continued right mental attitude followed by consistent action will bring success. Know the formula. It is mind power that has built empires.

Use the technique only for GOOD – to better yours and others lives.

THOUGHT:
Thought is a terrific force with unlimited powers.
RW Emerson: “Thought is the ancestor of our every action.”

Our world is governed by thought. Buddha: “All that we are is the result of what we have thought.”

The secret of success lies not without, but within the thoughts of man. History is filled with accounts of how thought has made weak men strong and strong men weak…and evidence of this is evident all around us in everyday living.

What you exhibit outwardly you are inwardly. You are the product of your own thoughts. “What you believe yourself to be, you are.”
Your body is the garden, whilst your mind and will are the gardeners.

Thought is the original source of all wealth, success, material gain, all great discoveries and inventions…and of ALL achievement. Without it there’d be no empires built. A man’s thoughts make or break him. Shakespeare: “There is nothing good or bad; but thinking makes it so.”

Draw on the great source of power that lies within each one of us.
We become what we contemplate, what we think about most. Everything is within – the mind is the SOURCE of all POWER.
Man secures the gold of the spirit, when he finds himself.

Edison said that ‘ideas come from space’. God??? (another “heavy” topic for discussion, there craig with your bright spark friend, Andy)

The great ancient Greek physician, Paracelsus: “The human spirit is so great a thing that no-one can express it. Faith must strengthen the imagination, for faith establishes the will.”
*
The Keys to Success:
The first step on the road to success:
Know exactly WHAT you want out of life.
Then DEFINE it!

Hard work alone will not bring success; our hands are designed to be helping the brain.
DESIRE (burning), an obsession helps ensure success in any endeavour. (Personally, I feel we need to have balance in our lives).
Ensure your thoughts and aims are co-ordinated.
Make your energy concentrated and applied without “let-up” (continuous). Then channelled into focused direction.
*
There is a big difference between NEED and a DESIRE.

All-consuming thoughts can be bad, as one needs balance in our lives. It becomes more real with our thinking and adding flavour (intensity) through our imaginations, ie. the technique of visualisation.

“Thought attracts that upon which it is directed.”
It then sinks into our consciousness – the depth depends on the constancy, intensity and power of your thoughts.

Everything that exists is vibration???
As evident in “the healing touch of Jesus’s hand”.

Prayer and meditation operate through this principle, as “focussed energy”, like a lasar-beam.

“Creative force comes only when there is a completely rounded-out thought, when there is a fully developed mental picture, or when the imagination can visualise the attainment of our ambition and see in our mind a picture of the object we desire – a house, a car, a radio, etc – just as if we already possessed them.”

To be effective, you have to really BELIEVE that your prayers will be answered. Different creeds and cults work as a result of the firm beliefs of the individual: The “Magic of Believing”.
*
The Subconscious Mind:

It’s the “still small voice within”.
Supreme Intelligence or Universal Mind, the subconscious or “essence of life” : the limits of its powers are unknown – it never sleeps, warns us of impending danger and can perform what are sometimes called ‘
miracles‘. The subconscious acts primarily on its own initiative, but there are times when its activities appear to be the result of influences from outside.

Get in contact with your subconscious mind and you can achieve wealth, power, fame, as well as cure physical ailments and solve countless human problems. And its power is for YOU to use. Just BELIEVE in its power and put it to work using the techniques or systems mentioned in the book.

Inventions, great musical compositions, poetry, fiction, writings (like this work) and all other ideas for original accomplishment come from the subconscious. Bricks fall into place, like a “magical hand”. A pattern of co-incidences is a working out of a pattern you started with your own weaving.

The great power of the subconscious is one of the most formidable forces in shaping and controlling our lives. Perhaps it works like an electrical vibration sets the law of attractioninto operation.

Sustained thought or fixed mental picture – go “into the silence”. Make mental pictures through the imagination – visualise. This comes about as a result of belief – a strange power that causes miracles to happen. It’s a deep-seated belief – “heart and soul”. a spiritual force. Know with every fibre of your being that you WILL achieve your desires.

Remember that success is a process and your life is a “work in progress”; so take one day at a time in an ‘attitude of gratitude‘.

In a “nutshell”…

INTRODUCTION

In this work we’ll explore the link between the mind and spirituality, by taking a brief look at the relationship between the psychological and the higher dimension of the spiritual realm. This work is a practical guide to help you make the most of your circumstances, through utilising the amazing power of the human mind.
I hope that it will help you, as much as it has helped me in writing my journal (keeping a daily record of my thoughts and progress). If I’m on the wrong track, I’ve really made an ass of myself!

This work is a practical look at the steps to take to see one’s wildest dreams turn into reality…through making the most of the amazing powers of the human mind.

I have brought in some spiritual aspects, as I believe we are all on a spiritual journey in an “earthly existence” (and the spiritual is just another and higher dimension to psychological principles and truths of life). We are spiritual beings; because we humans do not live solely by instinct, as we have the POWER to make CHOICES in our lives – to make them better and more comfortable, or to help others in some way ( as we live at a higher plane than animals…at least most of us!).

So I’ll be sharing some philosophical principles in life, based on MY beliefs.

1. Firstly, ask yourself this vitally important question:
WHO AM I?

This is the “core of you and the real essence of our being”. What excites you and makes you “tick-tock-clock”. It is not WHAT I am (in other words what you DO or a living), eg truck-driver, laywer, sales clerk, nurse, accountant (oh dear!) and so on.
It is father, husband, wife, provider, encourager, carer, and so on.

Secondly…
2. What “fires you up” with passion?
These are what brings you most pleasure, activities that you are best at, ie. your God-given gifts. I love writing to “touch” and hopefully help in encouraging others to be all that they can become and so live more joyful and fruitful lives.

For most people their jobs (= “just on broke”) are merely a means to the end – paying the bills and earning a living, but the means usually becomes the end in itself. That is how most people define themselves, eg homemaker. Incidentally, if you are really stuck in the deep brown stuff, our greatest problem is also God’s greatest opportunity – to work miracles in our lives. I truly believe that!

2. What “fires you up” with

3. Ask yourself this important question:
What can I do to make my life more SIGNIFICANT?

and finally

4. What is your PURPOSE – your reason for taking up space on the planet?
This is closely related to your concept of the meaning of life.
For example, many people think they believe that life is about
sharing their blessings of time, talents and money with others. Great!

Everyone has unique gifts and we are all different.
I truly believe my purpose is to be an encourager and “bridge-builder” through the power of words. Anyway what “normal” job would be suitable for someone like me!

All one needs to do is follow ones heart and TRUST fully, taking one step at a time in total faith…then one step leads naturally to the next.
*

Now, HOW TO GET THERE?
Firstly,
Analyse where you are in life and how you got there.
Oh well, that’s another book!

MEDITATE
This state provides clarity of thinking through drawing on intuition, the “still calm voice within”. I find it helps me greatly in choosing the path ahead, the “road less travelled”: to give me an opportunity of clear thinking and total
peace of mind on where to put my mental and physical energies. To know where you want to go, you first have to know where you are standing on the “map of life”.

And thank goodness we are all unique creations wanting different things out of life!

So
Ask yourself…

What do I most want out of Life?

PRAY, if you do that. Prayer operates through the subconscious mind connecting to God, “Infinite Intelligence”, the Creator of the Universe, “Higher Self”, Divine Wisdom. You are drawing on a ‘Higher Dimension’ we can’t (nor are we supposed to) understand. The subconscious mind is your gateway to unlimited power.

Write down a mission statement for your life. What is your main PURPOSE for being on this planet? Not just to take up space or inhale oxygen, please!

Who do I want to really Be?

It all starts with DESIRE (intense/burning).

The first step is making a DECISION:

I really want to be a writer, who uplifts and inspires people to reach for their ultimate dreams and become all they can possibly be.
“My dream is trying to make some difference through encouraging and helping other people to fulfil their potentials , to reach for and even realise their
dreams.” Crazy???
This is the path I KNOW that I am headed to achieve my destiny, even though “logical/rational” (and some “well-meaning” acquaintances have said it’s impossible from here in “Sleepy Hollow” near the bottom of the world). I took the DECISION to work really hard, follow my heart and not my mind (logic) and just TRUST the universe for a favourable outcome to my endeavours.

I truly believe God, Infinite Spirit, the Ultimate Designer of the Universe, Creator of Life itself, has a plan or EVERY life, but it’s up to each individual to FIND it themselves. Once discovered, then we have to take the decision to follow that path, “come what may”. I know its scary, but it DOES work out! Life is all about CHOICES…and making the right ones for YOU in total FAITH.

In so doing, I believe we glorify our Creator. The purpose of life is expressing our individual talents for the good of humanity and I believe, God is happiest when we can express our love back to Him/Her/It. ( I CHOOSE to think that, whereas my good analytical deep-thinking friend thinks “God doesn’t care a jot , but just observes us)

“Every man has his own destiny; the only imperative is to follow it, no matter where it leads him.”
– Henry Miller

“The task ahead of you can always be overcome by the power within you…and the seemingly difficult path ahead of you is never as steep with the great spirit that lies within you.”
– craig

“Our talents are our gifts from God… but what we do with them are our gifts TO God.”
*
Here are some recent notes from my journal (as I believe my path illustrates the practical principles that I’m writing about in this piece…

I DECIDED to put my main FOCUS into studying the human mind and writing this account (“hence”- nice word eh?) this journal. I am just TRUSTING (unlike a ‘net’ colleague, who purely look at the financial rewards for the effort) and “some sane” acquaintances who say, “get another proper job”. I believe GIVE FREELY, without expecting, then you’ll be surely blessed.

Signed off with an attitude of GRATITUDE that I love my fascinating “work” and am living the perfect life (“crazy” to others) for ME.

Thursday 8th April 2004:

My goal or the Easter long weekend to is work on this manuscript and read more on the unlimited powers of the human mind (don’t worry about mundane domestic issues, like housekeeping, gardening and mowing the lawn). Who cares about those things!
So made the decision to continue along this path.

The four “D’s”:
It all starts with:

* DESIRE (intense, burning and passionate)
What do you really want out of life?
What is your DEFINITE PURPOSE?

* Make the DECISION to go for it and neglect boring domestic chores, like mowing lawns.

In order to get there, you’ll need to develop

* DISCIPLINE (self) – usually in big doses.
(I’m typing this on a “wild” Saturday evening in “Sleepy Hollow” near the ends of the earth).

CHAPTER ONE:

DEVELOP A SENSE OF PURPOSE OR YOUR LIFE:
What are your deepest DESIRES and VALUES?

2. SET YOUR PERSONAL GOALS:
Make the DECISION to go for your deepest desires, your wildest dreams.
Are you honestly prepared to make all the sacrifices, no matter how long it takes to “get there”? Man was made to create through the amazing powers of the human
imagination. What do you like CREATING most? I believe our Creator is happiest when we are our “Authentic Selves” doing what we are “destined to do”.

What is a miracle? I don’t think a miracle an only be defined as an occurrence violating natural laws. In fact, I see my situation as a miracle, considering how far I’ve come and where I am now in my life with my resources.
I truly believe my calling is building bridges through the net at this stage and still believe my path and vision lies in electronic
publishing.

TOOK THE DECISION: WRITING (and web publishing) IS MY MAIN PATH in the future – encouraging others through my writings online + people in the “real world”. So made the personal decision to be an “incorrigible encourager” (and an “information and inspiration distributer”).

Make the DECISION:
to FOCUS on your desired outcomes. EXPECT a favourable outcome to your endeavours.
“Blessed are those who expect little… because they will receive little.”

I’d better expect “heaps” then from my endeavours.

Never mind, I’ll just work steadily and see what happens. What the Universe brings forth, but I love the uncertainty of the journey anyway!

“Be bold and unseen forces come to one’s aid!”

The key, I believe is INTENT – the SPIRIT with which you undertake any course of action. ACT. Just DO, without focussing overly on results. Of course, the hardest thing is getting the right balance between objectives (results) and just doing for the pleasure.
(This will depend on things, like your personal needs at the time, mind-set, temperament, outlook on life,
attitude – whether optimistic or pessimistic, etc.).
As the sportspeople say, “get in the zone” and “go with the flow”. I find I get my best results when I just do my very best at a particular task or goal, work steadily and consistently each day, taking one step at a time.

Stop striving and simply “let go and let God.”

…and that’s what I’m doing greatly enjoying writing this “work”.

THINK, like a child. Children have incredible imaginations. What were the dreams you had as a child (before the responsibilities and “burdens” of adult maturity)? NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!

As Walt Disney once said…
“It’s kinda fun to do the impossible.”

We CAN/we WILL do it with God’s help.
Keep a POSITIVE ATTITUDE at all times, when you encounter seemingly insurmountable obstacles (and you WILL),
Trust your
intuition/God.
Do not wait! The time will never be ‘just right’.
“Start where you stand and work with whatever tools you may have at your command
and better tools will be found as you go along.”
– Napoleon Hill (author of the classic work ‘Think and Grow Rich‘)

“There can be no shadows unless there is a sun.”
Pray about the right path for YOU.
TAKE ACTION (massive).
ACT “as if” you are already successful and visualise “arriving there”. Crazy!
The future does not have to be the same as the past. Say, “everything in my life has prepared me for this journey”.
Follow the Laws of the Universe: ie. the Law of:
1. Cause and Effect
2. Attraction (=
Gratitude)
3.
Creativity
and
4. the Power (Magic) of Belief

“Work as if everything depended upon YOU and TRUST (and pray) as if everything depended on God.”
– anon

Take one step towards God (or Allah, the Life Force, or whatever you understand a higher being to mean to you) and God takes three steps towards you.

Have “heaps of patience”. Your desired results may take months or even years to materialise. Lord, please give me patience… but I want it right NOW!.

What would you DO if you knew you could not fail? Embrace the journey.

Then watch “miracles” happen in your life, as you one day achieve your most earnest desires.

Just do your very best to make A DIFFERENCE in this amazing world and have great FUN along the way. That to me is true success*.

* (like loving a lot, laughing a lot and having good friends).

This path will be used as a testimony to the unlimited power and love of God, our Creator, who know’s each one of us intimately (and consequently our unique purposes) and consequently what’s best for YOU…

so love the magical journey of life.

Happy travelling in finding your true purpose for being on this planet,
ie God’s plan for YOUR life.

How much music can you make out of your life, with the time you have left?

“totally unmusical” Craig Lock (“Incorrigible Encourager and People-builder”)

Chapter Six: VISIONS AND IDEALS

Columbus cherished a vision of another world, and he discovered it. Copernicus fostered the vision of a multiplicity of worlds and a wider universe, and he revealed it. Buddha beheld the vision of a spiritual world of stainless beauty and perfect peace, and he entered into it.

They do not see the trials and failures and struggles which these men have voluntarily encountered in order to gain their experience. They have no knowledge of the sacrifices they have made, of the undaunted efforts they have put forth, of the faith they have exercised, that they might overcome the apparently insurmountable, and realize the vision of their heart. They do not know the darkness and the heartaches; they only see the light and joy, and call it “luck”; do not see the long and arduous journey, but only behold the pleasant goal, and call it “good fortune”; do not understand the process, but only perceive the result, and call it “chance.”

“Humanity cannot forget its dreamers. It cannot let their ideals fade and die. It lives in them.”

Chapter Seven: SERENITY

Wisdom Leads to Peace of Mind

“As man develops a right understanding, and sees more and more clearly the internal relations of things by the action of cause and effect, he ceases to fuss and fume and worry and grieve, and remains poised, steadfast, serene. The more tranquil a man becomes, the greater is his success, his influence, his power for good. Even the ordinary trader will find his business prosperity increase as he develops a greater self-control and equanimity, for people will always prefer to deal with a man whose demeanor is strongly equable.”

“The calm man, having learned how to govern himself, knows how to adapt himself to others; and they, in turn, reverence his spiritual strength, and feel that they can learn of him and rely upon him. The more tranquil a man becomes, the greater is his success, his influence, his power for good.”

That exquisite poise of character which we call serenity is the flowering of life, the fruitage of the soul. It is precious as wisdom, more to be desired than even fine gold.. How insignificant mere money-seeking looks in comparison with a serene life – a life that dwells in the ocean of Truth, beneath the waves, beyond the reach of tempests, in the Eternal Calm!

Finally, James Allen shares a powerful call to ACTION… because (“In action is thought made material, ie changed into something physical” – my good friend, Dr Andy Eastcott, former micro-biologist).

“Keep your hand firmly upon the helm of thought. In the bark of your soul reclines the commanding Master; He does but sleep; wake Him. Self-control is strength; Right Thought is mastery; Calmness is power. Say unto your heart, ‘Peace, be still!'”

A SPIRIT OF PEACE and SERENITY TO YOU ALL

Live at peace with yourself Look for the best in others and Be grateful for the wonderful gift of life

Give to others, laugh and have some fun along the way

Walk one step at a time with the light given you.

Then be all that you are capable of being by “tinking da highest torts” (thinking the highest thoughts)!.

Thinking for a Change (from Inspirational Books)

Our thoughts influence our reality and our PERCEPTION of reality (otherwise known as the concept of ‘manifestation’). Our thoughts are usually a reflection of our beliefs and attitudes. So if we want to change our reality, then we have to change these beliefs and attitudes that shape our thoughts. Let’s now look at how this process works in some more detail…

1. Changing your THINKING changes your BELIEF system. This is a critical point that shapes your reality. It is important to remember that negative thoughts are usually not the truth and are just beliefs held. A person with low self esteem may hold limiting beliefs, such as “I’m not valued by others”, or “I feel worthless, unloved”, etc). However, if these limiting thoughts persist, they WILL then lead to it becoming a self fulfilling prophecy in a person’s life… and thus a barrier to our experiencing feelings of self worth, love and so on. The cycle repeats itself. So NEVER forget, YOU ARE worthy, a unique person, a ‘child of God’ with special gifts and talents to share with others.

2. Changing our belief system changes our EXPECTATIONS. Put positive expectations into action. EXPECT favourable outcomes – expect something good to happen to you…and take ACTION accordingly…
thinking always positive outcomes to your endeavours, ie. success.

3. Changing our expectations changes our ATTITUDE. Focussed thinking allows you to pursue excellence in your life. People who are successful do the right things, BEFORE they feel good.

4. Changing your attitude changes your BEHAVIOUR: “Feel right, then DO right” – with positive expectancy. EXPECT good results – good things to happen to you.

THINKING FOR A CHANGE (from “INSPIRATIONAL BOOKS”)
(Adapted from Dr John Maxwell)

“Within you right now is the power to do things you never dreamed possible. This power becomes available to you just as soon as you can change your beliefs.”
– Maxwell Maltz

The vital importance of managing (controlling) ones thoughts, as well as maintaining a positive attitude on the stair-case to success… in business and in the journey of life.

Our THOUGHTS determine our FEELINGS (emotions).
Our EMOTIONS determine our MINDSET: whether positive or negative.
Our MINDSET* (or state of mind) determines our ATTITUDE to life.
* – though not “set in concrete” – it CAN be changed

Our ATTITUDE determines the way we VIEW the world – hopefully with HOPE and FAITH.
Our MINDSET AND ATTITUDES determine the ACTIONS we DECIDE to take to move our lives ahead, ie. to reach our goals, desires and aspirations.
The ACTIONS we DECIDE to take usually determine our results (or OUTCOMES)… and

Our OUTCOMES determine the life we will lead… and
the LEGACY we leave on this planet.

*
Our thoughts influence our reality and our PERCEPTION of reality (otherwise known as the concept of ‘
manifestation‘).

4. Changing your attitude changes your BEHAVIOUR: “Feel right, then DO right” – with positive expectancy. EXPECT good results – good things to happen to you.

5. Changing our behaviour changes our PERFORMANCE. Be the best you can be with excellence…and most importantly, with utmost integrity.

6. Changing your performance changes your LIFE. Sow excellent seeds to reap an excellent life and don’t it too seriously. Enjoy.

THINK (SUCCESS)

IMAGINE

CREATE and

Have FUN as you learn and grow down the journey of life (as I’ve done researching and writing this piece).

Author Brian Tracy (or was it Norman Vincent Peale, the author of positive thinking?) reminds us that “you are not what you think you are, but WHAT YOU THINK, YOU ARE.” Think big. Dream big. Pray big…
and look for big results. It all begins with changing the size of your thinking.

FACE YOUR FUTURE WITH POSITIVE ACTION

Saint Paul once said these words: “Fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you. For God did not give you a spirit of fear, but a Spirit of power, a Spirit of love and a Spirit of self discipline.” You ALL have within you the spark of God, as well as the unique gifts that your Maker has given you. Fuel that small flame with Love and goodness, and let the light of your uniqueness shine brightly on the world.

Don’t wait till you have all the skills. Take that first step in faith and the next step will fall into place naturally. Because that is the way God, the Universe works!

You too can discover the power of God, the Creator of the universe in a new, dramatic powerful way. When you THINK RIGHT, when you focus your mind on your desired goal (or preferably goals), when you focus your mind on the spark that God has given to you and you allow the spirit of God’s power to enflame that spark, and fuel the embers with love, you WILL discover that there’s nothing you can’t do with God. Absolutely nothing is impossible to you and God working in unison!

*
NOTES (based on my studies and research, as well as the great discussions on the workings of the human mind with Dr Andrew Eastcott – a “spark of
inspiration” from the seed of Dr John Maxwell’s work):

KNOW what you want to do

Aim for clarity, clarity, clarity in your “tinking”.

When I create clarity I set out with an intention. When I move that intention forward each day I create momentum. Every small
action I take each day over a sustained period just builds up, like a giant ball of snow rolling down a mountainside.

Action is primary (it comes before anything and determines everything else) in that action can change our emotions – it can be “called upon” when required; however it takes TIME to effect a change in one’s thought patterns. It’s a physical change to “wholeness”. ACTION is the only way to change negative thoughts. Just DO…something, anything! Change your thoughts into ACTION (you are not directly changing feelings).

The Power of Thought Energy:

Thoughts are electrical in nature (working like vibration!); whilst feelings are chemical – it just takes TIME to change a feeling from negative to positive. Time is the medium in which the process of change in thinking is fashioned. Everything begins with DECISION. Make the right decisions, then manage them.
ACTION focuses the human mind on DOING, rather than on an existing state of darkness (negativity).

HOW TO CULTIVATE SEEDS OF GREATNESS IN YOUR LIFE (FROM INSPIRATIONAL BOOKS)

by Dr Dennis Waitley

Submitter’s Note:
This article (in point form) is based on an excellent motivational,
up-lifting and inspiring book ‘SEEDS OF GREATNESS’ by Dr Dennis Waitley, to which. I have added a few personal thoughts. I am sharing the contents of this work in the spirit of encouraging and hopefully even inspiring those people, who really want to “cultivate and grow Seeds of Greatness” in their own lives to read the book…and just GO FOR IT… and surprise yourself!.

THE TEN BEST KEPT SECRETS OF TOTAL SUCCESS

10 action steps to enhancing the creativity in your own life:

1. The seed of self esteem: Believe in your uniqueness and don’t fear. Hang onto yourdreams. You are a master-piece of creation.

“You are always a valuable, worthwhile human being, not because anybody says so, not because you’re successful, not because you make a lot of money, but because you decide to believe it and for no other reason.”

3. The seed of responsibility: We become what we (repeatedly) do – “habits maketh man”.
We are what we repeatedly do.
“Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.”
— Aristoteles, Greek philosopher, 384 B.C. – 322 B.C.

4. The seed of wisdom. in terms of: knowledge and integrity:
“To thine own self be true.” (thanks dearest mom)
Our rewards in life will depend on the quality and amount of the contribution we make.

5. The seed of PURPOSE: the gold mine in your goals, the “wheel of fortune”. How to mine your “goal mind”
through the awesome power of suggestion (self).

6. The seed of communication: Reach out and touch someone Walk in another’s moccasins. Take time to listen to others.

7. The seed of FAITH: The immense power of positive believing. You won’t necessarily get what you want in life…
but in the long run you generally get what you EXPECT.

Faith is the bright light that guides us through the darkness.”

– Emmet Fox

You CAN…
If you THINK you CAN!

“BELIEVE it and you’ll see it.”

8. The seed of adaptability: Turn problems into opportunities, stumbling blocks into steppingstones.
The importance of:
* necessity (is the mother of invention)
*
motivation
* stress
* have a sense of humour and
fun down the “river of life”. Live in the NOW.

N.B:
9. The seed of PERSEVERANCE
“The will to win is everything”
– legendary Green Bay Packers football coach, Vince Lombardi.
Examples of Wilma Rudolf (see my manuscript on sport
psychology “The Winning Mind”) and in business, look at the amazing global growth of McDonalds. Winners work hard at doing the things the majority of people don’t like to do.

Finally,
10. The seed of perspective. Be a “seed thrower”, a giver, who touches lives and makes a difference, living each moment with love, grace and especially

gratitude. The treasure is within you…so live a life of celebration.

“We make a living by what we get,

but we make a life by what we give.”

– anon

“I do not choose to be a common man.
It is my right to be uncommon –
if I can.
I seek opportunity, not security.
I do not wish to be a kept citizen,
humbled and dulled by having
the state look after me.
I want to take the calculated risk,
to dream and to build, to fail and
to succeed.
I refuse to barter incentive for a dole.
I prefer the challenges of life to a
guaranteed existence, the thrill of
fulfilment to the stale calm of Utopia.
I will not trade freedom for beneficience,
nor dignity for a hand-out.
It is my heritage to think and to act
for myself, enjoy the benefit of my
creations, and to face the world
boldly and say,
‘With God’s help, this I have done’.”
– Dean Alfange

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking;
so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously
give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.”
– Marianne Williamson

I love these beautiful and inspiring words, as uttered by former South African President Nelson Mandela in his Inaugeration speech of 1994. I have admired and respected ‘madiba’ for many years – for his “immense generosity, graciousness and nobility of spirit”)…and am sharing an additional thought or two…

“Deep within us there is a flame that burns, and that flame is the spark of God. In some it burns brightly, in others it is barely distinguishable; but always it burns…and with love and acceptance the flame gets higher and brighter. We can help others to kindle this flame by seeing the good in them, even if they don’t see it themselves.”
-anon

Edwin Hubbel Chapin once said, “Every action of our lives touches on some chord that will vibrate in eternity.” That is the definition of a legacy. Wouldn’t you love to do something that might strike a beautiful chord that will “vibrate in eternity”?

“To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded. “

The Principles Of Success : “The Winning Edge”

Top achievers have that special quality called RESILIENCE: the ability to bounce back after “failure”… to pick themselves off the canvas one more time.
Also DEDICATION, FOCUS and SINGLE-MINDEDNESS: to overcome big obstacles on the way.

They also have to possess “heaps” of PATIENCE … taking a long term view of the champions path to eventual success.

A few final vital words to conclude…

“Look across all sport and observe the truly great. All had this zest for combat, this taste for being truly tested. All wished to explore the limits of their own possibilities.

Time after time we are forced to wonder why one great talent succeeds… and another still greater talent falls short? The reason is not mere “the will to win”. Rather it is the will to be tested at the very highest level. It is the ability to not only dwell on the far edge of sporting possibility, but to hold one’s balance…and to relish the proximity of the void.”

THE PRINCIPLES OF SUCCESS: “THE WINNING EDGE”
How to use the power of your mind to win in “the game of life”.

The “Hallmarks of a True Champion”:

When things get close, it is not a matter of luck, it’s a matter of having the mental edge.

You have to get into that area that elite sportsmen call ‘the zone’.

Look not to where you don’t want to go, but to where you want to go.

Get physically and mentally stronger, technically better and fitter – this makes for correct mental and physical control. Because when you get stronger physically, you get stronger mentally.

*
How to master your concentration? It is hard to train the mind, but it CAN be done with effort and persistence.

How much of the game is mental?
“To me it’s all a synergy. Everything has got to come together, the hard work, the clarity of mind.”
– dogged former Australian batsman, Justin Langer

“Doing this completely changed my thinking.”
– NZ pro golfer, Frank Nobilo.

“It always come down to pressure. People tend to fold under pressure. It comes down to attitude. His attitude has caused him to lose everything he had.”
– former heavy-weight champion boxer,Evander Holyfield on Mike Tyson

“Why did you become heavy-weight champion of the world?”

“Because your desire was to become the heavy-weight champion of the world. You need the same desire to become a better person. Until you get that desire, your life is going to go down. We’ve got to work as hard to be good people as we do in our endeavours.”
– fine words from Holyfield

Darryl Tuffey, former New Zealand fast bowler, says he bowls best when his mind is clear, focused.

The importance of experience and routine:
Experience, be it good or bad, can light the way forward… if learned from. “Draw on past success. Think back to the good days, how I was feeling and what I was doing.”
– Darryl Tuffey,

Routines provide tasks to focus the mind and, as long as these these tasks are developed through experience, provide a means of shutting external pressures out and getting the job done..

Routine is simply about mentally transporting yourself to a place where you know you can win.

Try not to put too much pressure on yourself. Just do what you do best. Being the best you can be is not about winning. You just can’t push it.

“Now, in the same situation, I can recognise when pressure is getting to me and go and get my hands on the ball, use a buzz word, or use my team mates to gain strength.”
-anon

“Most sports psychologists concentrate on motivating or getting people ‘in the zone’; but when you get to world championship level, everyone’s incredibly motivated and know how to get themselves in ‘the zone’. I basically view the brain as a computer. You can increase its performance in both the way it stores information and the brain is a tool, that can be trained like any other tool.”
Dr Kerry Spackman, psychologist and highly regarded motor racing coach

“In Formula One and all motor racing, there are things you can do, which don’t seem directly related to driving a car. For example, increasing your memory capacity, or increasing your capacity to analyse; but they do make a significant difference.”
– Spackman

The great* Brazilian racing driver, Ayton Senna once said:

* perhaps the greatest ‘racer’ of them all.

“When I am competing against the watch and against other competitors, the feeling of expectation, of getting it done and doing the best I can gives me a kind of power, that some moments when I am driving actually detaches me completely from anything else as I’m doing it…corner after corner, lap after lap. I can give you a true example.

Monte Carlo 1988, the last qualifying session… Suddenly I was nearly two seconds faster than anyone else, including my team mate with the same car. And suddenly I realised that I was no longer driving the car consciously. I was driving it by a kind of instinct, only I was in a different dimension. I was like I was in a tunnel. Not only the tunnel under the hotel, but the whole circuit was a tunnel. I was just going and going, more and more and more and more. I was way over the limit, but still able to find even more.”

‘This sort of thing happens to people at a very high level of mental and physical activity, where the intellect and the body combine and it becomes hard to say who is pulling the strings.’ #

THE QUALITIES (TRAITS) OF A TRUE CHAMPION
DECIDE TO WIN

All winning takes place in the mind
True champions have the following characteristics:

* Total discipline

* Determination (great)

* Desperation, ie. an unshakable commitment to their goals (or cause).
“When I put on the helmet, it’s pure rage.”
New Zealand Indycar champion, Scott Dixon

* All champions have the great will to win

* An unshakable belief in their abilities.
True champions, like an Ayrton Senna, a Roger Federer are able to find a new level (of performance) – when required, they have the ability to “dig deep” and find something very special inside themselves (the ability to “find and select another, a higher gear”, when needed in pressure-cooker situations, then come out triumphant)

* Resilience – it’s the ability to bounce back after setbacks.
“A champ is down at times, but he’s never out.”

* Patience and dedication.

* Consistency of performance

* Courage – “heaps of it”

However, “courage can only take a person so far; whereas genius can take one a lot further”.

* An outstanding work ethic.
They work really hard at what they do, continually developing their skills. Elite sportspeople keep improving every year. Former multiple womens tennis champion, Martina Navritilova was only average on her early career, but improved hugely with dedication, effort and persistence.
Champions spend hours and hours of practice and rehearsal . (It has been said that it takes about 10000 hours of practice and rehearsal to be the best in the world??? I think it might have been Malcolm Gladwell who said that, but am not sure whether the statement is valid. What do you think?)

“FAIL YOUR WAY TO SUCCESS”
Everyone failure brings you one step closer to ultimate success.
“I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. Twenty-six times I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”
– basket-baller, Michael Jordan
You only fail, if you quit!

“Winners never quit…and quitters never win!”

The importance of preparation and practice:
England rugby player Johnny Wilkinson has prepared very well in his career with over 25000 kicks.
Pay more attention (focus) on your strengths than your weaknesses; because they, your strengths will set you apart from the competition. Lift you!
Champions rise to the occasion.

Elite athletes have a narrow focus
“Stay focussed, dedicated and motivated.”

– tennis star Novak Djkovic

* Great memory – for minute details. They remember well the precise factors, circumstances and conditions that led to their successes in the past. “A memory on how to move”, eg. Andre Agassi’s great return of serve.
“Super-stars” have a great sense of anticipation, which is learnt. And success (like failure) is a learnt habit.
Great attention to detail as evident in their professional planning the path to success.

* Also the ability to concentrate on many aspects at once…ie, managing their minds!

#

SUMMARY
Three resolutions:

* self reliance

* self discipline

* self responsibility
True champions have:
* Talent (“It was as if I was floating on a cloud of endless possibilities…”)

Talent may appear to flow so effortlessly, but doesn’t take into consideration the thousands of effort and practice put in by an athlete

* Discipline

* Tenacity

* The “will to win” (“an indomitable will)
“Strength does not come from physical capacity; it comes from an indomitable will.”
– Mahatma Gandhi (and Lance Armstrong)

* Integrity (you’re now just taking the first steps back on the road to rehabilitation and being “more human”, Tiger!)

* Desperation (a “cast iron” determination to work hard)

* Chrystal clear focus (single-mindedness)

* Consistency of performance (great)
“You look at Valentino Rossi, Michael Schumacher, Tiger Woods, Roger Federer – they back up year after year. I’m not getting too far ahead of myself, but the
motivation will be similar.”
– the words of Jamie Whincup (back-to-back Australian Supercar champion)

And current All Black captain Richie McCaw delivers constant (and consistent) excellent displays of his rugby skills.

NB:
*
Inspiration (they are inspired to regularly deliver elite performances)

* FUN, greatly enjoying what they do..
Discover, then celebrate the champion of life that is in YOU!

“If you can dream it, then you can do it!”
And have great fun along the magical journey of life…perhaps even floating on your own cloud of endless possibilities #
